In collaboration with Peking University and the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, the University of Chicago gathered five noted political science scholars to discuss the topic “Post-Crisis Development: Whither the China Model?” at the Beijing Forum.

The panel included Tao Ran of Renmin University, Li Qiang and Yao Yang of Peking University, and Gary Herrigel and Dali Yang from the University of Chicago.   This session was one of twelve panels at the Beijing Forum.

Papers presented analyzed the issue of land in China, the path of Chinese political reform, the irony of the Beijing and Washington consensuses, the experience of multinational corporations in China and the role of state-owned companies in China。
