After observing the Chicago River intimately over time, the interconnection between the many disparatestreams which feed into it were revealed to me-from the river's dependence on hordes of microscopicbacteria, to the inner core of every Chicagoan whose family history has been shaped by their initial vovagehere for work on its waters. The Chicago River flows through its city like the Yongding River flows throughBeiiing and both impact all life forms which they touch.在亲密地观察芝加哥河许久之后，许多汇入其中的离散溪流的连接处向我显现出来-一从河流对成群微小细菌对依赖，到每个家族历史被最初来此工作的旅程所塑造的芝加哥人的内核·芝加哥河流淌过这座城市就如同永定河流淌过北京，两者都影响着它们所触及的所有生命形式。
My Chicago's Watershed choreography, like Stravinsky's Rite of Spring, is constantly shifting, changing-slower, faster, layered, singular; one minute hysterical, the next calm... like the river and its web of intricaterelationships.我的《芝加哥的分水岭》编舞，如同斯特拉文斯基的《春之祭》，一直处于持续的转换与变动中甲慢、更快、叠层、单一;一分钟歇斯底里，接着保持冷静.......就好像河流和它错综复杂的水系网。
There is an ancient, basic, and very simple story that is at the heart of Chicago's Watershed: it's about livingrespectfully with one another and the natural world. But the work uses dynamic, powerful, and surrealmeans to talk about this in an urgent and inventive way, In hearing and seeing this as a whole, we use it asthe fuel to wake up.To not separate the river from the city, the city from the people, the people from theDeople. The rich man is the very poor woman. The River is the cloud and rain and sun and us.在《芝加哥的分水岭》的核心当中，存在着一个古老、基本并十分简单的故事:它关于人与人、人与自然互相尊重地活着。但是这个作品使用动态，有力和超现实的意义以一种急迫并独出心裁的方式来进行表述。在完整地听到并看到这些时，我们用它作为觉醒的野性燃料。难以将河流从城市中分割，难以将城市从人群中分离，难以将人群从人群中分隔。富有的男人便是贫穷的女人。河流是云、是雨、是太阳、是我们。
Please note this work is not a linear story. The audience can take what they want or can from it and thuschange it to their own measure, A good story must have some points of contact with the audience to makethem feel at home in it.
