Developments in Traditional Medicine: An Anthropology Training Workshop

With the help of the Chinese State Administration of Traditional Chinese medicine (SATCM), a team of ten local researchers has been assembled to investigate the emergence of local “ethnomedicines” in seven minority nationality sites. A training and collaboration workshop will be held with the following main goals: to compare notes on the research process and discuss difficulties and successes of initial field research, to teach anthropological methods of participant-observation and and to develop protocols for 2011-2012 research.  On the first day of the workshop, several Beijing-based anthropologists will share their views on anthropological method with trainees.

3:30pm         技巧训练二：绘制生活空间地图（调研人员结对在芝大北京中心访谈工作人员并绘出访谈对象在这里的工作、生活图景）
