This workshop, the fourth in a series of workshops on Chinese Political Sociology, follows successful workshops held three years. The 2014 workshop focused on the theme of “Empire: Past and Present”. Scholars from China and other countries divided the whole workshop into six sessions to discuss their research on history and modern metamorphosis of different empires in their own countries and other parts of the world.
