About the Conference

The conference is a continuation and furthering of the conversations on the same theme taking place at the University of Chicago on March 4, 2016.  The Beijing portion of the conference seeks to engage more with Chinese scholars and policymakers on comparative studies on Chinese and American environmental governance.

The Beijing conference is presented by the University of Chicago and Tsinghua University, through joint efforts and co-sponsorship by the Abrams Environmental Law Clinic at the University of Chicago Law School, the Center for Industrial Development and Environmental Governance (CIDEG) at Tsinghua University, the Environmental Defense Fund, and the University of Chicago Center in Beijing.

本次会议是2016年3月4日在芝加哥召开的同主题会议的延续和深化。此次北京会议将邀请更多的中国学者和官员参与到中美环境治理比较的讨论中。
