关于会议

近年来中国正在经历前所未有的巨大发展与转型。部分学者将中国的发展模式与经验概括为“中国模式”，但也有观点质疑这一概念的解释力，尽管如此,它对于学者和实践者去理解中国发展经验的类型和动力仍是相当必要的。特别是十八大以来,习近平的全面改革和中国在经济新常态下所面临的重大挑战，都进一步激发起对中国研究的兴趣。不仅如此，中国研究都将一直是国际社会科学的热门话题。

有鉴于此，中国人民大学国家发展与战略研究院与芝加哥大学政治学系联合发起年度国家治理国际学术研讨会，以此齐集全球知名学者从政治学视角解读“中国模式”的相关问题。

About the Workshop

Over the past few years, China has been undergoing unprecedented development and transition. Some scholars summarize the Chinese development mode and experience as “China Model”.  Though there are still some doubts about its explanatory power, it is very important to understand China’s development type and driving force for scholars as well as practitioners.  Especially since the 18th CPC National Congress, the comprehensive reform put forward by President Xi Jinping and the major challenges China faces under the New Normal State of the Chinese economy have further motivated their interests in Chinese studies. Moreover, it has always been the hot spot issue in international social sciences.

Therefore, the National Academy of Development and Strategy, Renmin University of China and the Department of Political Science, University of Chicago co-host the first annual Workshop on Governance.  It is our hope to gather world renowned scholars to interpret related issues of “China Model” from the perspective of political science.
