Purpose:
Hosted by the University of Chicago Center in Beijing, Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago, and the Center for Social Research of Peking University, this event was intended as a media release of the “Report on the State of Children in China”, a joint effort by U.S. and Chinese researchers, as well as an occasion for child welfare researchers and policy experts in the area of child protection and wellbeing in China and overseas to exchange ideas and identify policy research cooperation opportunities to further the interests of children in China.

会议目的：
本次会议由芝加哥大学北京中心、Chapin Hall儿童研究中心和北京大学社会研究中心联合举办。会议内容之一是向与会的儿童问题专家和学者、支持儿童研究的组织领导介绍中美学者共同完成的《中国儿童发展报告》的主要发现，并借此机会与中国和国际组织的同行共同探讨中国儿童保护和发展过程所面临的重大问题和相关对策。同时，也寻求和发掘在儿童保护和发展领域共同合作研究的机会。
