UChicago Undergraduate Admissions Information Session

On September 1, 2025, the University of Chicago hosted an Undergraduate Admissions Information Session at the UChicago Beijing Center, led by Ms. Alexandria Waters, Associate Director of Admissions and Director for East Asia.

The event welcomed 141 attendees, including students, parents, as well as local high school counselors. Ms. Waters delivered an in-depth presentation on the University’s most recent admissions policies and evaluation criteria, offering valuable insights into the holistic review process. Ms. Waters also introduced the Summer Session Early Notification (SSEN) option, a pathway that allows rising seniors who have completed a UChicago Pre-College Summer Session to apply under Early Decision I between September 1 and October 15, with admissions decisions released within three weeks. In addition, she addressed questions on eligibility, application steps, and financial aid decisions.

The info session concluded with an interactive Q&A, giving families the opportunity to engage directly with the admissions office and gain deeper insights into the application process.
