Career Advancement office successfully led a cohort of students on an immersive trek through Shanghai and Beijing from December 15–20, 2025. Focused on the theme of "Climate and Innovation," the trip provided direct access to industry leaders shaping the future of green technology and artificial intelligence. Students visited a diverse range of cutting-edge organizations, including JAKA Robotics, Gotion High-tech, Horizon Robotics, HyperStrong, and Plug and Play, gaining firsthand insight into China’s dynamic tech ecosystem.
A highlight of the itinerary was the visit to the Center in Beijing, where Executive Director Zening Ge warmly welcomed the group and introduced them to the academic and professional opportunities within China. The visit featured an engaging lecture by Dr. Xian Hu, an economist at the Environmental Defense Fund, who explored the critical intersection of AI and climate change. The session sparked lively discussion among the students, concluding a fruitful week of professional exploration and global networking.
