From December 16–20, 26 students, led by Erwin Paderanga from the Career Advancement Office, participated in a career development trek to Shanghai and Beijing. The trek provided opportunities to engage with leading Chinese firms across diverse industries while immersing in China’s vibrant culture.
In Shanghai, students visited prominent companies including Keru Knowledge, L’Oréal, and Medtronic, gaining valuable insights into consulting, healthcare, and consumer goods. The Beijing part featured visits to DLA Piper, OceanPine, and Taikang Insurance Group, where students received a warm welcome and a comprehensive guided tour.
The trek also featured cultural and academic highlights, such as a talk with Justin Lin at Peking University and a visit to the historic Temple of Heaven. The experience enriched students’ understanding of global career opportunities and deepened their appreciation of Chinese culture.
