UChicago and Shandong University Deepen Partnership with UChicago Day

The University of Chicago's commitment to global collaboration was powerfully affirmed during the first day of Global Partners Week at Shandong University (SDU), October 28, 2025.  The highlight of the day was the formal renewal of a key cooperation agreement between UChicago’s Harris School of Public Policy and SDU, promising to foster future generations of policy leaders through mutual exchange.

The day's events celebrated the enduring intellectual ties between the two institutions. Activities kicked off with a captivating photo exhibition showcasing decades of academic and student exchange history. Following the signing ceremony, Executive Director of the Center, Zening Ge  engaged in extensive discussion meetings with SDU academic units to scope out new joint student and research programs, laying the groundwork for expanding collaboration beyond the current successful partnerships in religious studies and inter-civilization dialogue.

This engagement underscores the importance of international scholarly discourse central to both UChicago’s mission and the global community.
