University of Chicago Center Receives Students from Xiuning High School

On Monday, August 13, the University of Chicago Center in Beijing hosted a group of 30 students and teachers from Xiuning High School (Anhui Province) for a discussion about studying as an undergraduate in the United States. Mr. YUAN Ji, Interim Executive Director of the Center in Beijing, arranged the meeting and provided the students and teachers with a tour of the Center and an introduction to the University of Chicago. Following Mr. Yuan’s introduction, ZHU Sihan (AB ‘21) shared her experience as an international student in the College, covering everything from adjusting to college life to taking advantage of resources like academic tutors, peers, and academic advisors. The meeting ended with a Q&A session where students had the opportunity to ask Sihan, Hannah Rausch (AB ‘16), and Mr. Yuan about the University of Chicago and life on a U.S. college campus. The Center was delighted to have such engaged and enthusiastic young guests, and we wish them the best in their future studies.
