Title: Program Coordinator/Operations Specialist (full-time)
Reporting to: Manager of Academic Events and Programs
About the Center
UChicago (Beijing) Consulting Co., Ltd (the “Center”) is a wholly foreign owned enterprise established in Beijing, People's Republic of China on 20th February 2010. The principal activities of the Beijing Center include management consulting, educational consulting, investment consulting, business information consulting, cultural information consulting (excluding agency services), organizing cultural exchange activities (excluding performance agency services), conference services, and technical development, consulting, service, and training.
Position Description
The Program Coordinator/Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the execution of a wide range of programs and events that take place at the Center’s location in Beijing (e.g., student study abroad programs, student-related events, alumni events, academic lectures, and events) together with other general administrative duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the organization of in-person and virtual events at the Center.
- In collaboration with the relevant university office, plan and execute activities for study abroad programs for students hosted by the Center. Manage logistics and work with others as needed for student programs (e.g., assistance with visa documentation, housing, day excursions, etc.)
- Process all payments associated with the student programs by creating Reimbursable Use Forms for expenses being charged to the study abroad programs.
- Monitor programmatic budgets and maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Prepare promotional materials for events in both English and Chinese.
- Prepare news articles for major events and Center happenings to be published on Center’s website.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
Experience:
- At least 2 full years of work experience

- Ability to multi-task.
- Agile communication and collaborative skills.
- Demonstrated multicultural competence, knowledge, and experience working and interacting effectively with diverse groups of staff, faculty, and student populations.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Skilled at problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite and other productivity tools required. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in organizing events and programs.
- Excellent oral and written capability in English and Chinese.
Working Conditions
- May require working during evening hours to accommodate time zone differences and weekends.
