The 2025 Wanxiang Ambassador Fellows are undertaking a fruitful journey across China, combining deep dives into sustainable technology with rich cultural immersion.
The program began with a three-day green energy conference held at the UChicago Center in Beijing, where the fellows engaged with top experts in China's renewable energy sector. Following the conference, they explored iconic historical sites in the city.
The fellows then traveled to Hangzhou, the home of their host, the Wanxiang Corporation. In Hangzhou, their itinerary included a firsthand look at the company's headquarters and a visit to Wanxiang Polytechnic. At the college, they had meaningful exchanges with local students and participated in cultural activities, such as fan making using a classic ink rubbing technique.
The program will conclude with a final stop in Shanghai, where the fellows are scheduled to attend a forum on sustainability. This event will cap off a comprehensive journey focused on innovation and cross-cultural friendship.
