UChicago Global Leader Visits Renmin University of China

UChicago Global Associate Vice President Katie Hrinyak paid a productive visit to Renmin University of China on April 8th. Renmin’s leadership team of pertinent offices welcomed Ms. Hrinyak and attended the meeting. Laying a solid foundation for the upcoming Beijing civ program this fall, the meeting confirmed RUC’s upcoming relocation project as well as both sides’ commitment to further cooperation and student exchange. RUC also introduced its new Qiu Shi (Truth Seeking) Scholar Program, providing UChicago faculty and doctorate students conducting China-related researches with additional funding and opportunities.

The achievements of the Beijing civ program in the past fall were a direct result of the strong collaboration between both institutions, and preparations for the coming cohort are proceeding smoothly. The Center in Beijing looks forward to welcoming our undergrad students again this September.
